In fifth grade you have a lot responsibilities. Some of these include: lockers, forum, announcements, flag, and agenda.
Just like last year we have lockers. The rules are pretty much the same. No locks, no stickers, no magnets on the outside, and don't get into anyone else's locker.
Fifth graders are so lucky to have the forum to use. There is a lot of responsibility with it though. You have to be in control. If you aren't, you have to come back in the classroom, and only a few people can be out there at a time.
We also get to do the announcements. This is really fun! It can also be hard sometimes. You have to read slowly so the little people can keep up, speak clearly, read with expression, and pause when needed.
As well as the announcements, you get to put up and take down the flag. This is fun but can be tricky. You can't let the flag touch the ground, and you have to know how to do it and how to fold it correctly. At the beginning of the year Mrs.Truby will teach you how to do these things.
Like every year in the past, we fill out an agenda. The only thing different is that we do it in the afternoon. After the day is over, we write in our agenda. We write it on the board and sometimes she lets us write it. We go over what we did that day and what we might have for homework that night. You can't do anything other than agenda at that time. We put check marks by what we have done and HW circled where we have homework.
Fifth grade is really fun and Mrs.T. is an awesome teacher! Have a great year.
